Merry Christmas from BMO and the United Way

OHSWEKEN – What a wonderful time of year to win something.

Just ask Michelle Bomberry who won a gift tree filled with $750 of gift certificates donated by local and area businesses. Bank of Montreal Bank Manager Jennie Garlow was very happy with the participation of the business community and together they raised a total of $2363.90, which was just $113.62 shy of doubling last years United Way donation from the Bank of Montreal at the Fourth Line and Chiefswood Road location.

Several other fund raising efforts year round also added to this year’s figure.

Internally, two Toronto Maple Leafs tickets valued at $250. Each, were raffled off among staff raising even more for the cause.

“We have supported the United Way with donations here at Six Nations and this year we have almost doubled our total from last year,” says Garlow. “We really want to thank the Six Nations community for helping us help others through the United Way.”

United way also gave back to the community by donating about 75 pairs of football and soccer cleats to the community Parks and Recreation just last week.
