OPP assisting Six Nations in death investigation on Fourth Line Road

The OPP are assisting the Six Nations Police in a death investigation after a person with life-threatening injuries was discovered on Fourth Line Road last Friday.

On May 10, around 11:20 a.m., Six Nations Police were called to the area of Fourth Line Road near Mohawk Road where a person was found on the side of the road with life-threatening injuries.

The person was transported to hospital via ORNGE air ambulance, but they succumbed to their injuries the next day, on May 11.

The person’s identity was not released.

A post-mortem is scheduled at the Centre of Forensic Sciences at a later.

Six Nations Police have requested the assistance of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP’s Forensic Identification Services and West Region Emergency Response Team, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

Police said updates will be provided when they become available and that residents in the area should expect an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
