The Pink Feather Society was created by students in the Social Service Worker program at Six Nations Polytechnic and students in the Honours Bachelor of Social Work program at Wilfrid Laurier University Brantford. Their mission is to help the children of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women (MMIW) with post-secondary educational support.

“We’ve given out one grant already to a MMIW survivor and we want to extend our reach and give out more grants,”, said Hill Sr. “We’re trying to raise $2,000 by the end of the year. Coming to events like Hamilton Art Crawl helps us get the word out about who we are and what’re we are trying to accomplish.” Photo by Jayson Koblun
