The community packed the Oliver Smith Kaweniio Elementry school for a student interpretation of the Lion King on Tuesday May 13th. The production came together after several months of intensive rehearsal under the direction of teachers Alex Randal and Read Raslack and music director James Martin. “The children worked very very hard on this show” said teacher Alex Randal. And to the full house that was in attendance it was apparent. The end of the production was met with a standing ovation from parents, friends, and family. “The students of our school are very talented and dedicated kids” said Read Raslack. “We look forward to next years theatrical production as this was a great success!”
