Six Nations’ Kawenní:io/Gawęni:yo Private School relies on funding to provide support for several of its home and school activities, including bussing, indoor and outdoor activities, classroom supplies, day trips, and more. The school held a 12 Days of Giveaways contest that raised $43,000 to help support the needs of its students. The school thanked the community for its help raising the funds, as well as those who donated, helped organize the event, and its students and their families on Facebook.
“We had such a great time doing this for everybody and it went so well,” reads the school’s social media post. “You helped us raise $43,000.00 and that is crazy. Absolutely amazing.”
