Motorcyclist air lifted to hospital with life threatening injuries

HAGERSVILLE — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a single motor vehicle collision that sent a motorcyclist to hospital with life threatening injuries. The collision occurred on Highway 6 and Concession 10 Walpole in Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario.

On Monday October 5, 2020 at 7:01 p.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County paramedics responded to Highway 6 and Concession 10 Walpole for a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

OPP investigation, thus far, has determined a motorcycle was travelling south bound on Highway 6 and lost control driving through the construction area.

The driver was ejected from the motorcycle.

The 53-year-old rider was transported via Air Ornge Ambulance to an out of town hospital with life threatening injuries.

Highway 6 is closed between Concession 11 Walpole and Haldimand Road 55 while emergency crews are on scene.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are attending the scene to assist with the investigation.
