Six Nations Tourism Sites offering Community Partnership Program

OHSWEKEN — Chiefswood Park and Gathering Place by the Grand (GPG) are now accepting applications for the Community Partnership Program. An information session is being held on Thursday August 22, 2019 for the Fall Intake starting at 6pm at the Gathering Place by the Grand.

The Community Partnership Program was developed to support and foster the amazing voices within the community through the sponsorship of venue space either at GPG or Chiefswood Park. The program assists groups and organizations in the Community who host non-profit events or initiatives that support the Six Nations Community and its members. Programming may include education conferences, music concerts, workshops, performances, cultural teachings, and much more.

Six Nations Tourism, a department of the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC), manages both Chiefswood Park and Gathering Place by the Grand. These two venues are revenue-generating assets which will ultimately assist with the betterment of the Six Nations Community through annual distributions of surplus profits to the Six Nations of the Grand River Economic Development Trust (EDT) by SNGRDC.

All completed applications are assessed in accordance with the Six Nations Community Plan and the Community Partnership Program Criteria, while taking into account the level of impact of the initiative. The deadline for applications, for events occurring between October 2019 and March 2020, is September 13, 2019 by 12PM. Successful Applicants will be notified September 23, 2019 for the Fall Intake Session.
