Six Nations man, 20, facing weapons charges

OHSWEKEN — Six Nation Police say one man from Ohsweken is facing list of weapons charges for having unauthorized possession of firearms.

Police executed a search warrant on March 18 at a Moccassin Trail home in Ohsweken. During the search, Kade Mackenzie Thomas, 20, of Ohsweken was arrested.

Police seized a 22 calibre rifle with a extended banana clip attached capable of holding 30 rounds of ammunition, a 20 gauge shotgun and .270 calibre ammunition

Thomas was charged with: Careless use of a firearm X2, Unauthorized Possession of a firearm X2, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of firearm X2 and Careless storage of ammunition. He was held for formal bail hearing in Brantford to answer to the charges.
