BRANTFORD ‑ It is not often the Brantford 99ers Jr. B franchise has had opportunity to celebrate, but Thursday night they experienced the sweet taste of winning, defeating the Waterloo Siskins 6–2 before a hometown crowd at the Brantford Civic Centre. If the game puck was not given to goaltender Will Rawski, it should have been. Rawski turned away 42 of 44 shots against him to hold the line as the 99ers offence went to work, led by Jack Phibbs’ three goals and one assist. The 99ers are now in seventh place in the division at 9–18–2–2 on the first half of the season, six points behind Brampton in sixth place.
