The Brantford IceCats include 5 First Nation players, 4 from Six Nations — Madison White, Yonteserontyes Brant, Sky Bomberry and Cadence Johnson, and 1 from Curve Lake, Josephine Knuff-Wright. A total of 75 players tried out for the team that finished the season by capturing the BGHA Walter Gretzky tournament over the #1 seeded team in Ontario (Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds), finishing second in the provincial playoff championships, as well as taking down the U11 provincial championship game in triple overtime with a game winning goal from Six Nations own Yonteserontyes Brant. In addition to this phenomenal season, the team was recently named the Brant Sport Council Team of the Year.
