NATIONAL — The APTN Bryan Trottier Most Valuable Indigenous Player Award winner for 2022 was announced on April 23. Brandon Montour from Six Nations, playing for the Florida Panthers was honoured with the title and will receive a commemorative design by two-Spirit Ojibwe artist from Red Lake, Ontario, Patrick Hunter. The APTN Bryan Trottier Most Valuable Indigenous Player Award is given to an Indigenous hockey player who demonstrates on-ice excellence and contributions to the Indigenous community.
