Flush plumbing systems before businesses reopen

BRANTFORD — The City of Brantford is warning business owners to flush building plumbing systems to remove stagnant water from pipes.

The Canadian Water and Wastewater Association has released a guidance document on how to assist property owners and business managers to rehabilitate plumbing systems before reopening to the public.

Water sitting stagnantly as a result of lower occupancy due to pandemic restrictions can pose a risk to human health.
