Food Basics donats 1k to SN Food bank

SIX NATIONS — With the Grand Opening of the Food Basics location on Argyle Street in Caledonia on Thursday, April 26, the location donated $1,000 to the Six Nations Food Bank to help strengthen its community ties.

“We understand the importance of Caledonia’s tight-knit community,” said John Manax, Vice President of Operations, Food basics. “Which is why it’s equally important for us to integrate ourselves and play an active role within the community. We recently sponsored Caledonia’s Easter egg Hunt and look forward to supporting future local events and organizations for years to come.”

The 28,000 sq. ft. retail space is expected to draw in customers from within and around Caledonia, and the gesture was well appreciated. As well, the location will also be offering 100 new jobs to the area along with it’s budget-friendly and healthy food selection.
