A new community group – “Courage Offering Understanding Raising Aspirations Gaining Empowerment” or COURAGE for short – has been formed in Six Nations. The group meets every Tuesday night at 543 Sour Springs Road to share a pot luck meal, where participants are encouraged to laugh, cry, support, heal, and especially have a lot of fun together. The idea is to speak your mind on any subject at all, be they local issues or world affairs or whatever topic takes your fancy.
People currently taking part in the group are a medical doctor, a midwife, a journalist, a life skills coach, a teacher, a school bus monitor, a cook, a spiritual reader, and a few home-makers. They welcome others interested in joining the discussions. In order to meet new potential members who might like to join in the gathering, COURAGE will be serving some hot and delicious soup at Veterans Park in Oshweken this November 12th at 4:30pm.
