Person shot in Ohsweken over the weekend

Six Nations Police are seeking pubic assistance after a person was shot on Harold Road in Ohsweken Saturday.

On Jan. 24 around 3 p.m., police were called to an address on Harold Road – a new housing subdivision – where they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police and paramedics found a single victim with gunshots wounds, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the victim was in stable condition.

Witnesses in the area said they heard gunshots before calling police and said a black SUV sped away from the area shortly after the shots were heard.

Witnesses said two people were seen picked up by the SUV.

One male is described as black, with dreadlocks, about 5’7” with a large build. A second male was described as Indigenous, about 6’3” with a thin build wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
