SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT RESULTS IN DAMAGED POLICE CRUISER

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 5:15 PM, Six Nations Police were involved in a single motor vehicle accident on Oneida Road at River Range Road, on the Six Nations Territory.

Police had observed a dark coloured truck travelling at a high rate of speed on Sixth Line near Oneida Road.  Police turned around to attempt to catch up to the vehicle and the truck fled on Oneida Road.  As Police attempted to catch up to the truck, the Ford Taurus cruiser slid into a hydro pole guide wire at the corner of Oneida Rd and River Range Road.

Police lost sight of the fleeing truck, last seen on River Range Road.

The police vehicle sustained front end damage as a result and was towed from the scene.  The two Police officers were checked by paramedics at the scene.  No injuries were sustained as a result of the accident.
