SIX NATIONS — The Six Nations Food Bank received a large donation from the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation over the holidays.
“Together — SNGRDC, A6N and Chiefswood Park donated 55 turkey vouchers, five skids of water, two truckloads of food and over $16,300 to the Six Nations Food Bank,” said a statement.
The Six Nations Bingo also donated $1500 to the Iroquois Lodge, the long-term care home located in Ohsweken, as well as gifts for the residents including clothing items, blankets, slippers, socks and puzzles.
Chiefswood Park collected donations at the community Holiday Festival totalling $1182 which was donated to Ogwadeni:deo, Six Nations child protection services.
The Development Corporation also made donations of over 50 new snowsuits and 15 pairs of winter boots to Social Services for children in need.
“It is incredible to see our team pull together for the community. We are always looking for ways to positively impact the community, but this was next level.
