A 38-year-old Six Nations man is wanted by Niagara Police for robbery, abduction, assault, uttering threats, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
Jason White, 38, remains at large.
On Jan. 14 at 11:30 p.m., Niagara police responded to an abduction/theft of a vehicle at the Embassy Suites Hotel.
An investigation revealed that an adult male had exited a Grey Dodge Durango SUV to check into a hotel at this location, when an unknown male jumped into the vehicle and drove away.
At the time, an adult female and a young child remained in the vehicle. The male suspect stopped at the Embassy Suites hotel parking lot and forced them to exit the vehicle before fleeing the area once again.
The victims did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
On Jan. 15 at 12:20 a.m,. the stolen vehicle was located in the area of Baldwin Street and Hager Avenue in the City of Burlington, with damage to the vehicle. The male suspect fled the area by stealing another vehicle nearby.
Niagara Police, with assistance from the Halton Police Service and Six Nations Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the male suspect, identified as Jason S. White, of Ohsweken.
He is described as:
- Indigenous male
- 38 years old
- Medium build
- Dark hair
- Wearing a black coat, black sweater and jeans
White has ties to the Ohsweken area and is wanted for the following offences:
- Robbery
- Kidnapping (2 Counts)
- Assault
- Utter threats
- Dangerous driving
- Drive disqualified
