Six Nations Police Briefs

OHSWEKEN — Three people are facing drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop by Six Nations Police. On August 16, one male suspect was arrested during a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle with a loaded firearm, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine. Later in the day police executed a search warrant at a residence on Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and seized numerous firearms, ammunition and stolen property.

As a result Catlin Hotting, 36, of Hagersville; Micheal Richards, 61, of Norfolk; Marissa Maracle, 21, of Ohsweken; Derek Pearson, 48, of Fisherville and Dawn Payne, 30, of Fisherville are all facing weapons charges and possession of stolen property.

Hottinger is facing additional drug charges for possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Missing Person

Six Nations Police are looking for information to help locate a missing Ohsweken man. Jared Martin is 26 years old and described as an Indigenous male, approximately 5’11” and 170lbs with a medium build. He has brown shaved hair and wears glasses. His family says he was last seen in Ohsweken approximately two weeks ago and is known to frequent the Land Back Lane site just outside Caledonia.

Jared is travelling in a red Chrysler 300 with a potential Ontario license plate BXLH850. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Six Nations Police at 519-445-2811 or submit a tip annonymously through Crimestoppers.
