Six Nations Fire Chief Matt Miller says Fire Station #3 will be closed indefinitely after an elaborate break-in occurred at the station.
Miller made the announcement on Facebook, saying thieves cut through the security fence, broke through a double cinder block concrete wall at the back of the station and stole equipment from two fire trucks — significantly damaging the trucks in the process.
Early estimates for the damage and theft are believed to be over $200,000. Miller says the station will be closed until further notice.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Six Nations Police.
