Student arrested after threats made to 3 schools

OXFORD COUNTY — OPP responded to a threats complaint on Monday afternoon after a concerned citizen found a threatening note and contacted OPP to report it. The note made threats against several schools in the Thames Valley District School Board and one in the Grand Erie District School Board.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on September 3, 2018, the OPP arrested one male youth in relation to the incident. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Police say although the threats were taken seriously there is no current threat to public safety and that this was an isolated incident.
