THREE PEOPLE FACING STOLEN VEHICLE CHARGES

BRANT — At approximately 6:40 a.m.  October 21st, 2014, officers attended the residence on Baptist Church Road and found the vehicle to be stolen. The male who had been sleeping had fled the area on foot. The OPP West Region Canine unit attended the scene and tracked the suspect for an hour and a half and located the male suspect. While officers were doing containment in the Pauline Johnson Road area, they observed another stolen vehicle drive into a ditch and two more persons fled on foot. Officers searched the area and a male and female were arrested.

Shawn Sandy, 37-years-of-age, from Six Nations of the Grand River is facing criminal charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00; Possession of Credit Card; Identity Theft; and Obstruct Peace Officer.

Kyle Sandy, 27 years of age, from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00 and Possession of Break-in Instruments.

Roni Crawford, 30-years-of-age, also from Six Nations, is facing criminal charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00 and Possession of Break in Instruments.

Crawford is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on November 21st, 2014 to answer to her charges. The two male accused are currently being held before the courts.
