Presents included toys and clothes for a 4-year-old girl, 7-year-old boy, 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl, with a gift for the parents as well.

“Head Start provided us with their wish lists,” explained Ariane Thompson. “We were Santa’s helpers.”

The effort was orchestrated by Denise Isaacs of the Human Relations department, receptionist Kelsey Van Every, Louane Miller and Ariane Thompson of the Housing department, and Tyler Seneca of the Transportation department. The funds came from individual contributions from employees. Gaglianese Underground Specialists, a contractor assisting in the building of the Cayuga Nation Schoolhouse, also contributed to the fund.

“We wanted to give back to the community,” stated Van Every.  “It was fun.”
