Neil Young has announced that he will perform 4 benefit shows in Canada to raise money for the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) Legal Defense Fund. The ACFN are fighting against the Shell Oil tar sands pollution and are not receiving much support from the federal or provincial government. “Government and industry continually ignore that our rights, our culture and our people rely on safe, clean eco-systems and waterways to continue our way of life,” stated Lorraine Hoffman, Councillor for the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. Neil Young will be performing at Massey Hall on Jan 12 with Very Special Guest, Diana Krall! Tickets on-sale Friday, December 13th, seats range in price between $55 and $250.
