DUNDAS – The Brantford Blast met the end of the road to the Allan Cup Friday night in Dundas, when last year’s Cup winners, the Dundas Real McCoys, eliminated them in Game #6 with a 4-2 win.
After falling behind 2-0 with two Dundas goals from Cam Watson, Cam Sault interrupted the McCoys temporarily at 12:18 of the second period to make it 2-1. But Watson was not finished yet and added his third of the night at 14:03. Chris Rebernik brought the Blast close again at 15:30.
Neither team were able to score in the third period, forcing the Blast to pull Anthony for the extra attacker. The strategy failed, as Simon Mangos put the Brantford Blast season to bed by scoring into the empty net at 19:23.
