Ducks expect Gibson back in net
Ducks expect Gibson back in net By Jim Windle ANAHEIM — Brantford’s Adam Henrique closed out the 2017-18 regular season for the Anaheim Ducks with his 24th goal and 26th assist in defeating the Arizona Coyotes 3-0 Saturday night in Glendale Arizona. Six Nations’ Brandon Montour goes into the playoffs having had a successful regular season with nine goals, 23 assists for 32 points for the defenceman. The San Jose Sharks will face the Ducks in the first round of the NHL playoffs. In regular season play, the Sharks and the Ducks have been a good matchup, from a fan’s perspective. Three of the four previous meetings this regular season ended in shootouts with the Sharks winning two of them. Back in January the Sharks hammered the Ducks 6-2. The Ducks are coming into the playoffs hot after a five-game winning streak finished off the regular season. The Ducks have a solid one-two punch in goal with Ryan Miller posting four of the last five Ducks win with John Gibson healing from an injury, but he says he’s ready to go should he be needed. With Miller as hot as he has been, this is a great problem for a coach to have heading into the playoffs.
