Six Nations PeeWees go head to head

Six Nations PeeWees #1 and #2 went head to head Saturday afternoon at the Gaylord Powless Arena. It was not a good day for the PeeWee #1’s as they dropped a 6-0 decision against their counterparts.

Captain Jacob Smith opened the scoring for the #2’s with a high wrist shot over the glove of starting goaltender Dougie Powless, at 1:43 of the first 10 minute period, unassisted.

Quade Powless followed that at 3:12 assisted by Thomas Mt. Pleasant and Dallas King.

There was no scoring in the second period. Although the #1’s were pressing all period, they just could not find the net behind Caleb Martin who kept them off the scoresheet.

The wheels completely fell off the #1’s trolly in the third when Sandy Porter, Dallas King, Jacob Smith and Porter’s second goal of the period put the game out of reach for the #1’s.

Earning third period assists for the #2’s were: Sandy Porter (2), Luke Martin, Nicholas Jacobs and Jazlynne Martin.
