OHSWEKEN – The Six Nations Atoms just snuck by Norwich on Sunday Feb. 21, with a win 2-1.
After a hard fought start on both sides in the first period, it was Norwich that succeeded in scoring first. A far out slap shot caught a lucky corner, but this seemed to feed the Atoms determination. Nearing the end of the period, A.P Mace Anthony scored with a nice flick, assisted by Marc General and Asher Martin.
The second period however, seemed to drone on until Romyn Monture broke the silence with the Atoms second goal, assisted by Bunns Jamieson. The period ended with both teams seeming to be evenly matched.
The beginning of the third period showed that the Atoms wanted another goal, but both teams upped the ante on their defence. This kept the scoreboard the same right until the end, finalizing the game 2-1 for the Atoms.
