Seeing Red hosts a night of fashion, music and culture at Evergreen Brick Works

It was a night of Indigenous music, fashion and culture with runway models, designers, singers and social media stars at the Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto.

The “Seeing Red: Runway of Rezilience” was a powerful tribute to Mohawk Sky-walkers, honouring the legacy of ironworkers with striking precision. The collection masterfully translated the structural integrity of steel into fashion, featuring garments that utilized industrial textures, bold crimson accents, and sharp, geometric silhouettes that mirrored the heights of skyscraper beams.

Designers clearly drew inspiration from the physical grit of the trade, incorporating multiple textures, metallics, hardware, and reinforced leather, feathers elements that felt both authentic to the craft and runway-ready.

The models brought an incredible gravity to the stage, moving with the steady, poised confidence of those accustomed to navigating steel girders. Their presence transformed the catwalk into a suspended beam, turning every turn and stride into a statement of heritage and strength. By casting individuals who carry the ironworker legacy in their own lives, the show moved beyond mere aesthetics, grounding the fashion in a lived reality that resonated deeply with the audience.

Seeing Red had this to post on social media after the event, “THE RED CARPET WAS A MOMENT. From statement looks to unforgettable arrivals, the red carpet at Runway of Rezilience 2026 was a celebration of Indigenous excellence! Our guests came dressed to impress, bringing their own unique style, energy, and REZILIENCE to an unforgettable evening at Evergreen Brick Works.”
