Pow Wow quilt raffle ticket to be drawn July 27th
SIX NATIONS — Six Nations folk quilter Irma Martin was at the Solidarity Day celebration at Chiefswood Park Saturday selling tickets for a raffle for a hand made quilt she designed five years ago and only recently completed. The quilt depicts several Pow Wow dancers in full regalia.

Day of 1,000 Canoes, Grand River Canoe Festival
Paddlers had a beautiful day last Saturday to take a leisurely float down the Grand River as part of the yearly event, Day of 1,000 Canoes. In its fourth year now, this year’s event had around 450 participants who paddled, hiked and biked from Caledonia to Cayuga.

Non-native man with Ongwehowe family given 1 day to leave Six Nations
A 27 year old non-Native man has been evicted from the reserve. This morning two constables of the Six Nations Police came to the home of Josh McFarland and served him with an official eviction notice signed by Six Nations Elected Council Chief Ava Hill. McFarland has been residing on the territory with his Ongwehoweh wife Misty (Hess) along their two children, one of whom attends school on Six Nations.
