Four injured, one dead in early morning crash in Ohsweken

OHSWEKEN — Six Nations Police say four people are in hospital suffering life-threatening to serious injuries and one person has died in an early morning crash in Ohsweken.

At 5:22 a.m., police say they arrived at the scene of the crash. A black 2009 Mercedes Benz was headed westbound on Fourth Line Road, travelling a a high rate of speed, lost control and struck a tree.

One person was confirmed dead on the scene and four others were taken to hospital. Police are not releasing the identities at this time as they contact next of kin and families of those involved in the crash.

Fourth Line west of Chiefswood Road is closed while SNP and OPP investigate.
