BRANTFORD — Human remains have been uncovered along the Grand River in Brantford.
Brantford Police said the remains were found behind Fordview Court by a person walking down by the river in West Brant, Monday evening.
Police attended the scene near the Silver Bridge. Members of the Brantford Police along with professionals from the Centre of Forensics Science in Toronto are investigating.
Police say the area will be cordoned off until Tuesday afternoon.
It is not known if the remains are that of a male or female, however police say the remains appear to have been in the area a long time.
At this time, Brantford Police do not believe foul play was involved.
