27th Annual Santa Clause Parade hits the streets of Ohsweken

BRANTFORD — Community Minded Spirits in Action presented the 27th Annual Santa Clause Parade with the theme of “Christmas Future… What does yours look like?” on Saturday, November 17.

Reds and greens filled the street as the likes of Star Wars characters and the Jetsons floated by, along with Six Nations royalty handing candy to onlookers and more.

This year in the judging category, first place went to Six Nations Childcare Services, second place went to Community Living and third place went to the New Credit Fellowship Centre. While the People’s Choice Award also went to the New Credit Fellowship Centre.

On behalf of the Santa Clause Parade Committee, special thanks to Ohsweken Speedway and the Styres family, the Six nations Police, the Six Nations Fire Department, the Six Nations Ambulance, Redrum and the Six nations Gaming Commission.

The committee would also like to offer their deepest condolences to the family of Cathy Honyust, who recently passed away. Her and her family were instrumental in the organization of the Annual Six Nations Santa Clause Parade.

Next year is already awaited as a staple Christmas event.
