TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES

On Monday, January 31, 2022, at approximately 1:57 a.m., a Brant OPP member initiated a traffic stop on Dundas Street East in the County of Brant. The officer was on routine patrol when they stopped the vehicle to investigate a Highway Traffic Act violation.

Police have charged a 41-year-old from Brantford with the following offenses: Driving while under suspension, Owner operate motor vehicle on a highway – no insurance, Improper muffler – motor vehicle, Use plate not authorized for vehicle and Fail to notify change of name.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford at a later date.
