Man who threw trailer hitch that killed Barbara Kentner now charged with murder

THUNDER BAY – A white man who threw a trailer hitch out the window of a moving vehicle at an indigenous woman in Thunder Bay is now charged with second degree murder in connection to her death. THUNDER BAY – A white man who threw a trailer hitch out the window of a moving vehicle at an indigenous woman in Thunder Bay is now charged with second degree murder in connection to her death.
Brayben Bushby, 18, of Thunder Bay was previously charged with aggravated assault in the case.
The victim, 34 year old Barbara Kentner, was hospitalized for months after being hit by the trailer hitch. She died in on July 4.
Thunder Bay police released a statement saying they reviewed the charges and the upgrade was filed Friday.
Bushby surrendered himself to police on November 3. He is to appear in court Friday afternoon.
