Mississaugas of the Credit Election Results

MISSISSAUGAS — The General Election for Chief and Council of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation took place on Saturday, December 14, 2019 with just over 425 ballots being cast.

Incumbent Stacey R. LaForme was re-elected as Chief with 269 votes beating out the 144 votes cast for Larry Sault.

Seven people were elected to serve as councillors: Evan Sault, Craig King, Julie LaForme, Erma Ferrell, Veronica King-Jamieson, Cathie Jamieson and Bill LaForme.

The new chief and council were sworn in at a ceremony on Monday, December 16 at the MCFN Community Hall.
