Chiefs support call for appeal in Khill acquittal

TORONTO — The Chiefs of Ontario are supporting a call to the Attorney General seeking an appeal in the acquittal of Peter Khill.

Khill was ruled not guilty by a Hamilton jury in the shooting death of Jonathan Styres.

Six Nations Elected Chief Ava Hill is requesting an appeal in the case.

Chief of Ontario released a statement backing Six Nations request for appeal – and says indigneous people in the province deserve to see justice.
