Hamilton police ask for public’s help in identifying sexual assault suspect

HAMILTON — Hamilton police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a sex trade worker.

Police say the incident took place at about 3 a.m. on Thursday.

They say the woman engaged in a conversation with an unknown man on Barton Street in Hamilton.

She then got into the man’s vehicle and they drove to an area off Van Wagner’s Beach Road, where police allege she was sexually assaulted.

Police say the officers found the woman unclothed and visibly shaken.

They say the man is described as 5 feet 6, with a skinny build, short black hair and black moustache and beard. He was wearing a black shirt, beige pants, blue Nike sandals and a red baseball cap.
