Here is a sports trivia question — who scored the first home playoff goal for the San Diego Gulls of the AHL?
The answer will always be, the offensive minded defenseman, Brandon Montour from Six Nations who finished the regular season with 12 goals and 45 assists for the Anaheim Ducks AHL affiliate, with a lot of Ducks scouts watching very closely.
The Gulls were eventually eliminated, but Montour had a fine playoff run picking up nine playoff points along the way. Montour, #26, is seen here taking the ice for Game#4 of the semi-finals.
