The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLax) announced its Week Three Players of the Week for the 2014 Season, and a lot of familiar names were recognized.

Offensive Player of the Week: Bryan Neufeld – Niagara Lock Monsters – Neufeld was on fire this weekend with 10 points in two games including an incredible 6 point game against the Ohsweken Demons on Monday.

Honourable mention goes to Ohsweken’s Josh Johnson who tallied 3 goals and 6 assists in two games over the weekend.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jake Henhawk – Ohsweken Demons – Henhawk was instrumental in picking up 2 big wins for the Demons allowing a total of 20 goals over 2 games.  First, he came in down 4-1 to the SouthWest Cyclops and allowed the Demons to turn the game around and secure the victory.  In Niagara, Henhawk made 51 saves in a victory against the Niagara Lock Monsters.

Honourable mention goes to Niagara’s Grant Crawley.  Crawley came in to relieve Connor Danko on Sunday and allowed 3 goals against in 54 minutes while making 36 saves against the Durham Turfdogs.

Transition Player of the Week: Chris Attwood – Ohsweken Demons – Chris Attwood was an offensive force this weekend with eleven total points in two games.  More so, he was instrumental in the Demon’s transition game by scoring 3 goals on breakaway.

Honourable mention to Tyler Burton of the SouthWest Cyclops.  Burton had 2 goals and 5 assists over two games this weekend.

Rookie of the Week:  Mike Burke – SouthWest Cyclops – The sensational Cyclops rookie had 6 goals and 4 assists this weekend and was a key contributor in their defeat of the Durham Turfdogs.

Honourable mention goes to Durham’s Dylan Goddard.  Goddard was a key part of the Turfdogs offence over the weekend, chipping in 2 goals and 4 assists.
