Man facing impaired driving charges

HAGERSVILLE – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 55-year-old driver with impaired driving following a traffic complaint on King Street West in Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario. On Friday October 2, 2020 at 2:09 p.m., OPP responded to King Street West for a traffic complaint.

Police located the vehicle and driver where they investigated.

While the officer spoke with the driver, signs of impairment were detected and the driver was arrested.

Further investigation determined the driver was more than two times above the legal limit.

OPP has charged 55-year-old Michael ANDERSEN of Brantford, Ontario with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle and Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
