Ontario First Nations celebrate historic child welfare agreement implementation

First Nations leaders from across Ontario gathered with federal officials on May 29 to formally mark the implementation of the historic Ontario Final Agreement, a $8.5 billion deal that transfers greater control over child and family services to First Nations communities. The agreement covers 131 of 133 First Nations in Ontario.
