Child sexual assault trial to begin in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY, WI — A trial is slated to begin in Wisconsin for the sexual assault of a 14 year old child.

The accused, Matthew Joseph Myke, 36, is charged with Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child / At Least 3 Violations of 1st or 2nd Degree in 2013.

Court documents show the alleged victim was 14 years old at the time of the assault.

He was released on a $10,000 cash bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.

The jury trial begins on Jan 22 at the Brown County Courthouse in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Court documents show the charges are considered a Felony C and carry a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a maximum $100,000 fine.

  1. Apparently this isn’t the only one of his victims. I hope this article gives all of his victims and their parents the courage and strength to come forward. There are far too many sexual predators preying on children at powwows and at longhouse. Six Nations and other communities need to come together and banish sexual predators from their communities and that includes banishment from longhouse and ceremonies especially where their victims may be attending. This is the reason why we have so many people addicted to drugs and alcohol in our communities, because victims have to be exposed to their perpetrators over and over again. When are we going to say enough is enough. If you are a victim of Myke’s sexual attacks, PLEAE GO TO THE POLICE and charge him. He needs to be held accountable and you will be giving other victims the strength and courage they need to come forward. Nyaweh.
