CALEDONIA – To a man, there was great relief coupled with euphoria and exhaustion when the final buzzer rang out at the Haldimand Centre Saturday night. The Corvairs had won Game #7 by a score of 3-1 over the tough St. Catharines Falcons to take the game and the Sutherland Cup.

CALEDONIA – The Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs are so close to the Sutherland Cup they can almost taste it, leading their series against the St. Catharines Falcons two games to one, heading into Game #4, Tuesday night in St Kitts.
CALEDONIA – The last leg of the Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs quest for the Jr. B Holy Grail, the Sutherland Cup, begins Wednesday night, April 23rd, at the Haldimand Centre Arena in Caledonia against the St. Catharines Falcons, beginning at 7:30 pm.
DUNDAS – The Brantford Blast’s hopes for another Allan Cup were dashed by last year’s Cup winners, the Bentley Generals, in the quarterfinals Thursday night at the Grightmire Arena in Dundas.
BUFFALO – The Rochester Knighthawks and the Buffalo Bandits end the regular season this coming Saturday night at the First Niagara Centre in Buffalo. Heading into the last week of the regular National Lacrosse League season the Knighthawks are in first place in the East with a record of 13 wins against four losses, while the Bandits hold down second place with eight wins and nine losses.

WILMOT, ON – It was more like a lacrosse jam session than a game, but the fans still got a show at the Canadian Lacrosse League’s All-Star game, which was played in Wilmot, Ontario, Saturday afternoon.
WATERLOO/CALEDONIA – The Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs went to Waterloo Sunday afternoon, confident that they were about to sweep the Siskins in Game 4 of the GOJHL semi-finals at the Waterloo Recreation Complex. But the Siskins weren’t quite ready yet to hang up the blades for the summer and beat the Corvairs 3-1 to stay alive, at least until Wednesday when the series continues with Game 5, in Caledonia.
WILMOT, ON – The OLA Jr. B season is still a couple of weeks away, but if the Six Nations Rebels exhibition game against the Guelph Regals in Wilmot, Sunday afternoon is any indicator at all, the other teams in the league, as well as the record book, are in deep trouble.

BRANTFORD – Throughout the first period Sunday afternoon, it looked like there would be a Game #6 in the Allan Cup Hockey League finals between the visiting Dundas Real McCoys and the Brantford Blast at the Civic Centre.
CALEDONIA – Last Wednesday, the Caledonia Corvairs finished off the St. Catharines Falcons for Golden Horseshoe Conference title with a 4-3 win. This Wednesday, April 9th, at the Haldimand Centre Arena, in Caledonia, they begin the next phase in their quest for the Jr. B Hockey’s Sutherland Cup.
